It is of much importance socially, to not only protect children from social exclusion and its risks but also to help them grow subjectively acquiring capability to cope with their future life, by elucidating how social exclusion against children brings about negative effects in their life course in developed countries. OECD has reported 13 longitudinal serial studies on the risks and outcomes of social exclusion concerning children in 5 developed countries. The author looks at the series first and examines further researches focusing on the latest knowledge about the causal relationship at the early stage of children at high risk and their future clinical problems, mental health and anti-social behaviors.
