This is an extension of my preceding four reports : Report I, on Counting of numbers in Ryukyu dialect, and Reports II-4 , on denominate numbers in Ryukyu dialect. I have dealt with numerals, in Report 3, on numbers of frequency and persons, in Report 3, on numbers of day (calendar day and numbers of day) and in Report 4, on numbers of month (calendar month and numbers of month). In this report, I am dealing with units in every kind relating to the denominate numbers as follows : Length: Units "Ri", "Cho", "Ken", and "Shaku", are mainly used in official documents, but practically almost not in common people's daily life. Unit "Ri", has not been necessary except for big Islands as Okinawa Main Island, or Amami-Oshima. Units mostly used in people's daily life are Units "Shaku", "Sun", and "Bu", and "Hiro" for larger length. Area: Units "Cho", "Tan", "Se", and "Bu" are mainly used in official documents. Only in some area (as Amami area) they are still used. Unit "Tsubo" is widely used, but pronounced like "Chibu". Besides, such an expression as "Isshumaki" (for the area one "Sho" of Wheat-seeds can be sown ) is observed. Measure: Units "Koku", "To", "Sho", "Go", and "Shaku" are widely used, but the pronounciations are not so accurate. Weight: In place of an Units "Kan", "Kin" has been exclusively used in every transactions. In rare case, Units "Momme" is observed.
