Mental Health Policy (MHP) of corporations recently has been recognized to be an important management issue and has begun to attract notice. Because MHP has been getting widespread in the world, there are so many feature articles for the general papers, which introduce case studies of corporations coping with MHP. On the viewpoint of business administration, MHP hasn't been enough to be discussed yet. Therefore I will intend to explain "characteristic of problem" of MHP of corporations in terms of business administration in this paper. First, I studied some trial cases of MHP and tried to evaluate each of effectiveness. I found that all of them were very difficult to be evaluated and were seemed to be ineffective. Second, I collected the discourses about practical meanings of MHP. By adapting the concept of "associated consequences", I critically considered the practical meanings in terms of (1) legal responsibility, (2) increase of productivity, (3) self-actualization and found the predicted "associated consequences". Finally, I concluded that "characteristic of problem" of MHP of corporations was "strategy for corporations to control workers more strongly".
