On Generalized Continuous Elements in Simple Regular Rings

• This paper is concerned with generalized continuous elements contained in directly finite, simple regular ring R of type II_f which are defined in [8]. We consider whether those continuous elements are invertible, are transcendental over the center of R. Since a standard example of self-injective simple regular ring of type II_f is a factor ring of self-injective regular ring of type I_f by a maximal ideal, we cosider generalized continuous elements in such a factor ring of self-injective regular ring of type I_f by a maximal ideal.
