• This paper is concerned with continuous elements contained in directly finite, simple regular ring of type II_f. We define generalized continuous elements with respect to some continuous set of matrix units. First we consider the basic properties of generalized continuous elements and difine some C-pairs. For a given C-pair, we consider whether there exist a simple regular ring with a generalized continuous element with the C-pair. We construct such rings as a direct limit of sequence of twisted matrix rings.
