To assure the quality control for the components of ceramic gas turbine (CGT), new techniques for NDT have been developed. For X-ray testing, a micro-focus X-ray testing using an image intensifier system has been advanced. To achieve highly sensitive detectability for included defects in ceramics, a new image subtraction processing has been developed, which have attained about 0.1% of detectability for the point defects in Si_3N_4 ceramics. In X-ray CT testing, a micro-focus X-ray CT has been developed, which shows the facts that it is possible to detect 20 to 40μm of pores in Si_3N_4 ceramics. For ultrasonic testing, the relationship between reflecting echo-heights and existing positions of pores is precisely studied, which have given the optimum condition of the testing.
