Unsteady flows within the second-stage stator of a 1.5-stage low-speed axial-flow turbine were measured in great detail with a slanted hot-wire. The data was time-split to produce animated movies, and the unsteady rotor-stator interaction and the associated secondary flow behavior through the stator passage were analyzed.
