It can be said that hydrogen gas is an excellent fuel for combustion engines because of its combustion characteristics. Employment of hydrogen gas as a fuel for multi-stage reheat gas turbine will have promise of high thermal efficiency and specific power. The multi-stage reheat gas turbine can be attained by reheat inside of turbine, that is, by combustion of hydrogen gas introduced into the high temperature turbine passage. Both experiments of two-dimensional blade row and nozzle sector for the full scale experimental gas turbine have demonstrated the possibility of combustion of hydrogen gas used for blades cooling in the right downstream for the blade rows. It is also presented by the cycle calculation for the hydrogen fueled and steam cooled gas turbine that high thermodynamic performances of the multi-stage reheat and regenerative gas turbine are able to be gained.
