We study anomalies of discrete R-symmetry in heterotic orbifold models. We show that the mixed anomalies for gauge groups satisfy the universal Green-Schwartz(GS) condition, indicating that these anomalies are canceled by the GS mechanism. We find an exact relation between the anomaly coefficients of the discrete R-symmetries and oneloop beta function coefficients from the explicit formula of the anomaly coefficients of the discrete R-symmetries.
