The throes of social and ideological rebirth today lead us logically to the reconsideration of cartesian philosophy. Descartes was the first to think of the individual liberty and the physical causality. The unfinished paper is concerned with the origin and the motive forces of his physics. --- but not pragmatistic -- which is of use to life. Analysing his life itself, I want to make clear his Retionalism which discriminates "scientia" from "artes." As for the relationship in his epistemology between innate ideas of "scientia" and experences by "artes," the secret is to be found in the fact that his new physics contradicts intenser with the scholastic one than with modern techniques. The inneite is the expression of the separation from scholastic physics and of the combination with mechanistic experiences. Based on these experience. his new physics was developed as a coventional, not conventionalistic, Genesis --- "Traite de Lumiere" --- by the medium of the scholastic concept "locus imaginarius."
