Upon the Change in pulse rate 1) Acceleration directed from head to tail: It is considered that the increase in pulse rate during centrifugalization is principally due to the fall in carotid sinus pressure as was written by Jongbloed and Armstrong. The increase in pulse rate is generally greater in hot season than cold. For in hot season the sympathetic nerve of guinea pig is relatively hypotonic and then the blood stagnation in the area of abdomen and peripheral blood vessels becomes greater in this experiment. 2) Acceleration directed from tail to head: The increase in pulse rate in the former half stage of centrifugalization ("Increased type") may have some concern with the result of Bainbridge's Reflex. The fact that this increased rate gradually decrease in the latter half stage of it may be understood by the reason why the decrease in pulse rate owing to the rise in carotid sinus pressure following the centrifugal blood stagnation in the skull may survey the increase in the formenr half stage. The cases on which Bainbridge's Reflex has no effect may belong to "Decreased type" group. 3) Acceleration directed to left or right transversely : The increase in pulse rate during centrifugalization can be explained by the decrease of the venous to the heart caused by the blood stagnation in the area of the lateral side of body. The decrease of the venous return is undoubtedly smaller than that in each same g exposure from head to tail, so the increase in pulse rate is generally smaller than that in the exposure from head to tail. 4) The appearance of arrhythmia: Judging from the results in the supplemental experiment II & III, it is regarded that the chief causative factor for it's appearance is perhaps the change in the extracardiac nerve tone caused by the sudden change in the venous return. Upon the change in each wave 1) The change in the height of P_II : It is considered that in the centrifugalizations directed from head to tail and to 1. or r. transversely, the enlargement of P is chiefly due to the decrease in blood filling in the auricle, and in the exposure from tail to head the reduction of P is in the reverse order due to the increase in blood filling. 2) The change in the height of R_II : The condition of the rotation of the electric axis (c. f. Report VIII) and the change in blood filling in the ventricle during centrifugalization may be regarded as the chief important factors for the change in the height of R. According to the various combinations of both factors, the changes (enlargement, reduction or remaining invariable) of R may be contributed. But judging from the general type of the change in centrifugalization to each direction, the latter factor seems to be more effective than the former. 3) The change in the height of positive T_II : The general change of positive T in centrifugalization to each direction seems to be chiefly caused by the decrease or increase in the ventricle too. But moreover it may be partially due to the change of the heart position and especially in the exposure from head to tail the deficiency of coronary blood flow. 4) The depression of ST_II : It is regarded that the principal factor for the depression of ST under the isoelectric line in the exposure from head to tail is the coronary insufficiency or O_2 deficiency in the myocard owing to the decrease in venous return.
