The purpose of this study is to compare the music teacher training of the two countries of Japan and China from the side of the law mainly. Music education is placed for basics education of the two countries together. The training of a Chinese music teacher switches over from "closedown system" to "opening system". A curriculum of the training of a music department teacher has flexibility, and there is not united sex, and a difference opens. On the other hand, The Japanese music department teacher training has legislation and model characteristics. However, flexibility of a curriculum of the music department teacher training in each university is lacking.
