E2 transition between high spin states in the ground-state band is studied in terms of the Interacting Boson Model (IBM). The boson number conservation in the IBM, which is a consequence of the nucleon number conservation, yields the cut-off effect on the high spin B (E2) values. A B(E2) measurement for ^<78>Kr suggests appearence of this effect. The cut-off effect may be compensated partly in some cases by the finite size effect of valence shell. These two effects can be observed in high spin states.
