Roles of the cosmological principle are discussed, with the consequencies in the frame work of the simple Newtonian theory. The situation that the result obtained coincides with the Friedman's equation which is deduced from the theory of the general relativity seems to indicate that the success of the Friedman's model is mainly originated in the cosmological principle, but necessarily not in the theory of general relativity.
