In this paper we present an automated system for extracting region of interest from raw dental panoramic radiographs for forensic personal identification. The region of interest is acquired by segmenting and separating teeth in raw panoramic radiograph and then extracting a set of signatures for each tooth by applying a filter. The proposed system performs well and successfully processed all images.
