This paper is translated from Italian into Japanese and explains the report of the Visit to the Nagasaki Diocese, which was originally reported on by the first Apostolic Delegate to Japan, Archbishop Biondi. Actually, this is the first official report of the Nagasaki Diocese. The report definitely shows the history of the Roman Catholic Church in Nagasaki, until 1921 when the first Visit was held. It also suggests to the Nagasaki Diocese that some pertinent problems existed and that these needed to be changed. After the report, some suggestions materialized. Those were to divide the Nagasaki Diocese at that time by area, the necessity to found some Japanese female religious congregations to promote education and to integrate the separated AIKUKAI, which was organized by single lay women working in Parishes. The result of the suggestions made tells us clearly the significance of the first Visit and how important the report by the Apostolic Delegate was.
