In this paper, we present a technique for creating visual pattern for virtual try-on system. When we try clothes on, we check the design of clothes, including colors and patterns of the clothes. There is much research for changing the pattern and the color of cloth or clothes. There are variable editors for the clothes. But pattern generating system is required for virtual try-on systems, because there are often limited patterns in these editors. So we need interactive pattern generating algorithm to enhance the variation of patterns. First, we introduce our pattern creation system using reflection operations. Pattern creation system is based on reflection pasting of the texture. During pattern generation process, we reflect the texture regularly. By this, group of texture becomes to look like pattern of clothes. Our algorithm can perform real-time creation for the real time as a tool for the virtual try-on system. Second, we introduce the application of our pattern generation algorithm for virtual try-on system from single-camera view. To have interactive clothes pattern generation system is important for virtual try-on system, because it is one of advantage to the real try-on action. So we applied our pattern creation system to camera-image-based system, to work up the variation of the pattern and the color of the clothes. In addition, we propose interactive pattern changing system for virtual try-on system. In this system we can operate the color and the pattern of the clothes. This paper presents an interactive pattern changing virtual try-on system and its pattern creation algorithm. Our proposed system can be applied not only for apparel CAD tools for designers but PCs for ordinary people to design their daily clothes.
