bout the amount of undercutting of involute Spur gears, calculated considering the circular arc (its radius is r) at the tip of Rack-shaped Cutters. In these numerical calculations, on the cases of pressure angle α=14°1/2 and 20° and circular radius r=0, 0.05･･････0.2R, the relations were found between u and U, where u is excess depth of cutting and U the height of undercutting. The results of these calculations are shown at the Fig.2-Fig.5.
