This is a report of the experiments on the rolling process of gears by a forced drive device. To press three die-rollers against the gear blank, three cams of Archimedean Spiral form are used. Compared with the preceeding free drive device, the author obtained the following advantage in the present case. 1 Teeth number was divided correctly. 2 Mild steel gears of module 2.5 were even rolled at an ordinary temperature. 3 Accumulated pitch errors decreased to a considerable extent. Errors of eccentricity and of the single pitch did not decrease very much. To improve the accuracy of the rolled gears, it is necessary to improve the nstrument itself as well as the die-rollers.
