In the previous paper,^1) we investigated the effects of inhomogenity on reflection of electromagnetic waves and the results were applied to a case of snow-covered land in our snowy districts in a view of giving a fundamental radio data for waves higher than VHF. But a theoretical formulae of reflection which corresponds to the snows of which permittivity changes as e = c - ae^-bz contains always the modefied Bessel function with an imaginary order. Numerical calculations, in such a case, are very troublesome. In this paper, it is shown that the above difficulty is well settled for waves higher than UHF using a asynlptotic expansion technics of linear differential equation of second order. Moreover, it is mentioned that a reflection problem of vertically polarized waves from inhomogeinity such as e = a (1 + bz) is solved by the same method.
