The aim of this report is to offer clarification about sex difference in the relations between the environmental conditions and various kinds of sex behavior among Japanese students. Some interesting findings are as follows: 1) Some statistically significant differences between the sexes have been found in the experience of Coitus according to the environment of their upbringing, that is, males with a rural upbringing show a higher tendency to having Coitus than those males with an urban one. But the present living environment, whether rural or urban, makes no difference in the experience of Coitus. 2) As to the relation between the conditions in which they have been brought up and psycho-sexual behavior, no difference has been found between the sexes. But as to sexual behavior, there are some significant sex differences according to the circumstances of their upbringing. That is to say, the ratio of sexual experiences is higher among those females who have been brought up in gloomy and unhappy homes, while homosexuality has been found more among those males with similar bakground. 3) As to the relation between having parents or not and Dating, no difference has been found between the sexes. As to Coitus, however, females show no relation in this respect, while males show a significant relation, that is, there is a higher tendency to Coitus experience among males without parents, and a lower one among males with both parents. 4) Among females, there are some significant relations between having a brother or brothers and Desire for the opposite sex, but among males there are no such similar relations found. Among males some significant relations have been found between having a sisters and Physical Contact with the opposite sex, but none of such relations have been found among females. 5) In both sexes, there are some significant relations between present neighborhood environment and the experience of Coitus. Both males and females whose dwellings are near motels or rentrooms have a tendency to a higher ratio of such sex behavior. 6) In both sexes, there are not any significant relations between the atmosphere of present home and Dating or Desire for the opposite sex. But as to such sex behavior as boy- or girlfriend seeking, Desire for and actual Physical Contact with the opposite sex, Kissing, Petting and Coitus, females show a tendency to a significant relation, but it is not the case with males. 7) There are some significant relations between present dwelling conditions and some kinds of sex behavior. Both males and females who are living with their parents have a significant tendency to a lower ratio of experiencing such sexual behavior as Kissing, Petting, Coitus and so on. 8) Among both sexes a significant relation have been found between having side jobs and Dating, Kissing, and Coitus. 9) A significant relation has been found between having lovers and some kinds of sexual behavior in both sexes. As to the ratio of relation, however, there are some significant differences between the sexes. Some significant relations have been found between having lovers and such kinds of sexual behavior as Physical Contact with the opposite sex, Sex Arousal, and Petting among females, but with regard to Kissing and Coitus, no significant sex defferences have been found. 10) There are significant relations between having their own motorcar or autobicycle and Girl Hunting or Physical Contact with the opposite sex among males, but none among females. 11) No significant relations have been found between religious faith and Kissing or Coitus in both sexes.
