• The aim of this investigation is to clarify the difference in sexual experiences between the sexes of present- day Japanese students ranging from 16 to 21 years of age. The data utilized for this investigation are from the researches conducted by the executive committee of the Japanese Association for Sex Education (JASE), under the trust of Youth Problem Council of the Prime Minister's Office. The present writer is one of the members of the committee and participated in the researches. The investigation was made using the anonymous-qestionnaire method with 53 questions, covering a wide range of physio-sexual, psycho-sexual subjects. The number of completed questionnaires collected was 26,783. Five thousand were then picked out at randam in proportion to the number of students living in each of the 12 cities chosen. The samples consisted of 2,764 males and 2,236 females. Analysis in this investigation has been made from the point of view of sex difference in psycho-sexual and sexual behavior. Some interesting findings are as follows: 1) Along with recent acceleration in physio-sexual maturation, there is no difference between both sexes in having boy- or girl friends, or lovers, nor any difference in the ratio of dating behavior. Some sex difference, however, has been found in various kinds of psycho-sexual and sex experience. 2) As to the relation between various kinds of psycho-sexual and sex behavior, both sexes are the same with some statistical significance. But as regards the degree of the relation, sex difference has been found among some of them, but not among others. 3) As to the time of first experience in various kinds of psychosexual and sexual behavior, the range of age is from 12 to 18 years, but shows a great difference according to the kind of behavior and individuals. 4) At the time of their first experience, among males there is little or no relation between first Ejaculation and other types of sexual behavior, and also among females between first Menstruation and other types. 5) As to the time of their first experience, there is much variance in the degree of relation among various kinds of sexual behavior, that is, some of them are high and others are low. And some significant differences have been found between the sexes.
