A variety of video editing tools have been developed to help average users create their own videos. However, users still need professional skills or knowledge to create attractive videos. To tackle this issue, we have proposed a system framework to provide support on video post-editing for amateur users in the aspects of media aesthetics by adopting structural patterns obtained from professionally edited sample videos. The task first requires discovering the structural patterns of media components. In this paper, we especially examine the synchronous patterns between video and audio segments, targeting on movie trailers as an example of professionally edited videos.
