• A model analysis on clumpy irregular galaxies is presented. On the basis of the velocity dispersion of Hα emission lines from Mrk 297 and Mrk 325, the virial mass of a typical clump in such galaxy is estimated as 10^8M_<⊙> if we set its linear scale is 300pc. In order to interpret the velocity dispersion and profiles of Hα emission lines we describe a possible model of clumps which are the complex of giant HII regions.Clumpy irregular galaxiesClumpMarkarian galaxiesHII region
