The present study is aimed at exploring the relation between aspects of work values and occupational readiness among female students who have just entered a junior college program which concentrates on teaching business management and office practice. Subjects were 102 female junior college freshmen. For exploring the relation between work values and occupational readiness, Ogawa's questionnaires for work values and the occupational readiness scales (Wakabayashi, Goto, Shikanai) were used. For the analysis, factor analysis and analysis of variance were used. Main findings are following: (1) According to the factor analysis, components of the freshmen's work values were "making progress through the work," "upgrading and getting appraisal," "making much of marriage," "having priority over their life styles," "seeking social life," "giving assistance," "career changing." (2) According to the analysis of variance, the low scored group of occupational readiness were lacking of attitudes for making progress through the work. (3) The high scored group of occupational readiness aimed at professional work, and the low scored group had a tendency of seeking after marriage life as house wives.
