This work deals with the issue of dynamic thermal contact resistance, which appears in mechanically moving contacts but has studied little so far. This report presents some experimental results of thermal contact resistance between sliding plates. In order to measure thermal contact resistance, temperature drop and heat flow across the interfoce must be measured. Temperature drop, however, can not be measured directly, so temperatures near the surfaces are measured instead, and corrected on the basis of numerical analysis of temperature distribution. Data of thermal contact resistance between sliding plates are measured and compared with data at static contact. In case heat generated between sliding plates is less in comparison with passing heat through the interface, contact resistance is the same as that at static contact, and independent of sliding speed. On the contrary, in case generated heat is more, thermal contact resistance increases with the ratio of generated heat to passing heat.
