In the effort of providing decentralized and yet reliable services by using a peer-to-peer network, a loosely coupled network, weakly connected and possibly unreliable peers are the key challenges. This work studies the feasibility of a peer-to-peer network to be used to implement in a must-reliable system, such as a banking system. The work will also show that a reliable and low-cost system can be achieved. To implement a must-reliable system with peer-to-peer network, network architecture, object distribution, and dynamic mirror's finding protocol are designed. Then, an autonomous replica recovery protocol is presented with a distributed hash table for easier and faster distributed object access. In the end, the comparison between the common banking network system and the proposed network system is shown for the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
