The moving particle semi-implicit (MPS) method, which is a fullyLagrangian particle method, was applied to simulate the three-dimensionalRayleigh-Benard convection. The present MPS simulation reproduced typicalflow patterns observed in the Rayleigh-Benard convection successfully. Theresults are in good agreement with those obtained by the method in the frame ofthe Euler system. The present results demonstrate the applicability of the MPSmethod to three-dimensional convective heat transfer problems.
