The data on the immunologic memory found in antibody response of chickens to Newcastle disease virus may be summarized as follows: The primary antigen of small dose surely prepared for development of secondary response. Increasing doses of secondary antigen introduction in priming with standard dose of antigen evoked higher anamnestic response. Two antigen injections with short time interval, even one day, induced antibody response of secondary type. Moderate titer of residual antibodies passively given from hen permitted preparation for secondary immune response under the suppression of primary response. Anamnestic immuno-competence developed at one week of age.
