The flower bud differentiation of the Japanese tulip has been studied following the previous report. The flower bud differentiation of the early-dug bulb is delayed than the late-dug bulb. The latest-dug bulb is not earliest, but is rather late in the process of differentiation. This reason has never been clarified yet. The water content percentage is the largest in the early-dug bulb, and the smallest in the late-dug bulb. The flower bud differentiation is accelerated by curing; but the treatment after the start of differentiation is dangerous, as the flower bud may be destroyed by unsuitable curing. By curing, the water content percentage of the bulb is reduced about 2~3%.
