Twenty four puppies were fed embryonated eggs of dog ascarid, Toxocara canis. They were sacrificed at various intervals from one to forty days after feedings. The distributions of the worms in various organs were examined, and the body lengths of the recovered worms measured. 1) The normal migratory course of this worm involves the intestinal wall, mesentery, mesenteric lymph node, liver, lungs, trachea, esophagus, stomach and small intestine. In other words this worm takes the tracheal type of migration as concerns puppies under 30 days of age. The hatched larvae penetrate into the lower parts of the small intestine, and large intestine. 2) Considerable variations in the migration speed are observed among each worm in the same puppies. 3) Even in puppies under 30 days of age the migration of the worm is reciprocally reduced in speed with the advancement of the host age. 4) Marked differences in the growth are observed among each worm in the same puppies. 5) Even in puppies under 30 days of age the growth of the worm is somewhat reduced with the advancement of the host age. 6) In puppies under 20 days of age, within 10 days after infection the worms attain the same sizes as in those in the prenatal infections in new born under natural conditions. In puppies at birth when infected, the worms possibly reach maturity in 30 days after infections but their growth or maturity may be influenced or retarded by the various factors.
