• The growth of young snail and fecundity of adult snail were studied as a part of studies on mass-breeding of Oncomelania hupensis hupensis in the laboratory. The results were summarized as follows : 1. The growth of young snail fed with diatoms was better than that fed with baby meal. 2. The young snail fed with baby meal grows slowly without death than that fed with diatoms. 3. The fecundity of adult snail was increased by the supply of L-tryptophane or dextrose. 4. The fecundity of adult snail was reduced under the rearing condition where the water level was periodically changed from low to high and vice versa.
