Direct Observation of 2D Crystal Growth in Colloidal Suspension(Oscillation, Chaos and Network Dynamics in Nonlinear Science)

We have investigated the relationship between the colloidal crystal form and the ion concentrations, and have found that the close-packed 2D crystal is generated in the moderate ion concentrations. It is found that the appropriate ion and particle concentrations under the restriction of the dimensionality are essential for its growth.
