Formation of a Loop Structure in a Reaction-Advection-Diffusion Model(Oscillation, Chaos and Network Dynamics in Nonlinear Science)

We construct a reaction-advection-diffusion model which shows a transition of patterns from aggregated spots to a closed loop structure, which has been observed in a recent gasdischarge experiment. Our model is based on the Gray-Scott model which is supplemented with a global coupling term due to an experimental constraint and advection terms which is induced by the discharge current.
