PALSAR is a spaceborne "Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar", one of three main mission sensors of "DAICHI" (ALOS- "Advanced Land Observing Satellite" is the latest Japanese remote sensing satellite which was successfully launched in this January). This paper presents the study about expected interferometric SAR (InSAR) performance by PALSAR for some repeat-pass orbit conditions and its observation modes. The possibility of Polarimetric Interferometric SAR (Pol-InSAR), InSAR with JERS-1 SAR and ALOS follow-on satellite for InSAR will be also introduced.
