This report was written to introduce the readers to the methods of teaching and student's evaluation of classworks in the course of study for teaching profession. In the background of the report is the reform of Japan's university chartering standard, in which self-inspection and self-evaluation in general was set up as one of the targets of teachers' endeavors. Since the present writer covers the subjects in the course of study for teaching profession, he has been directing his attention to the educational activities of teachers, particularly an ideal way of their instructions in education and their contrivance and improvements in teaching method. Now, what has been strongly required as one of the themes in teacher education is the rearing of so-called 'ability to build the capacity for teaching.' In order for a teacher to attain this 'ability,' a teacher in the future, namely, a student in this course, should be conscious that he or she is a member of a class as its constituent, attend a class as an independent student with clear consciousness of problems in the subject plus strong will to achieve his or her own task, and also strive for the acquisition of basic and vital ability required of him or her as a teacher in the future. Thus, what becomes important to bring about this ideal condition is that classes on the collegiate level should be run and developed by using multifarious teaching methods and make students experience the process of inspecting and improving the contents and methods of teaching. This is because the very experience will surely provide students with the clue to acquire their own practical method of teaching and self-inspection. What is shown here are those examples of students' evaluation of classworks, which the present writer made them carry out in their study of the subject he covers. He believes that this attempt has contributed not only to bringing about students' consciousness of problems in Glassworks but to offering them the data to be used for the readjustment of inprovements in their own classworks. The present writer would like to introduce the readers to the outline of this very attempt.
