This paper introduces the Vidar Clinic located in Jarna, Sweden. Designed by Erik Asmussen as the central medical facility for the anthroposophic community in Jarna, this building evolves from the architectural concepts and forms put forward by Rudolf Steiner, the founder of the Anthroposophic movement. Anthroposophic medicine takes a holistic approach to medical treatment, seeking to restore the balance among the patient's physical, mental, and spiritual aspects. Asmussen designed this building as a "therapeutic instrument" to contribute positively to the each patient's search for his or her path back to a balanced existence.
