Louisa May Alcott wrote Little Women in 1868 (part1) and 1869 (part2) and adopted John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress as its framework. This study focusses on the influence of The Pilgrim's Progress on Louisa May Alcott and Little Women. Conclusions are as follows. 1) Louisa May Alcott was familiar with The Pilgrim's Progress from her early childhood because it was her father's favorite work. 2) Louisa May Alcott often referred to The Pilgrim's Progress in Little Women and stressed the moral points in The Pilgrim's Progress rather than the theological ones.
