The aim of this paper is to research the community of the Swedish Viking Age, analyzing the runic inscriptions from that Age. Very few written sources of it including some books such as Rimbert's "The book on Ansgar" and Adam of Bremen's "The history about Hamburg Diocese and its bishops" are unable to see how the Swedish community under the Age looked like. First of all, to analyze the community of Sweden under the Viking Age depends on archeological material because of scant written sources such as described records with historical dates. The most important written sources of the Age that Sweden provides us with, however, are runic inscriptions, which are not stringent historical sources. For they never tell us a date of making runic inscription except for some, which have no record of the date so that we have to suggest it. Anyhow there is no other alternative but to research the inscriptions to look for a clue to enlighten us on the community-how the political, economic, social, cultural aspects worked. This paper is a part of the database of special analysis about proper personal names from the Age, fixing a sex (male and female) which leads to settle into a family relation in the text of an inscription. There are more questions in the database to be solved : to be continued in the next issue.
