The mechanism of the posi-nega switch known in the globally coupled map lattice is clarified. A new extended globally coupled map lattice model is proposed. The new model shares the same intriguing properties with the standard globally coupled map lattice and yet admits an investigation of spatial formation of the clusters. Formation of amazing self-organized clustering patterns is found in the new model. The new extended model may be applied to the simulation of pattern formation in the network of nonlinear systems such as the galaxy formation from the density fluctuation in the universe.
