Sr system sintered W-type hexagonal magnets were prepared by the conventional manufacturing method without atmosphere control. The raw materials used in this experiment were α-Fe_2O_3, SrCO_3 and ZnO powders. Mixed powder of the raw materials prepared by wet-mixing method were semisintered at 1200〜1350℃ in air for 1h. The resulting products were finely ground by a vibration-mill crusher, compacted into cylindrical specimens in the magnetic field, and then sintered at 1200〜1300℃ in air for 0.5h. The optimum condition of typical specimens are as follows: chemical analysis composition -Sr^<2+>_<0.988> Zn^<2+>_<1.926> Fe^<2+>_<0.932> Fe^<3+>_<15.436> O_<27>; semisintering condition -1275℃×1h in air; sintering condition -1225℃×1h in air; Magnetig and physical properties are J_m=0.340T, J_r=0.291T, H_<cJ>=71.6 kA/m, H_<cB>=71.2 kA/m, (BH)_<max>=11.6 kJ/m^3, T_C=412℃, H_A=940 kA/m, K_A=1.59×10^5 J/m^3 and n_B=28.4_<μB>.
