Description is made on programs for the collection and analysis of the short-range order diffuse scattering data. The analysis is based on the method developed by Borie and Sparks, which is widely used for separating the intensity caused by atomic displacement effects from the total diffuse scattering intensity. Basic theory for the analysis is given in detail and description is made on conversion of the measured intensities to absolute units and corrections for submultiple wavelength diffraction, parasitic scattering and Compton scattering.
