The thermodynamic properties α and β Ag-Mg alloys were investigated by an electrochemical method. The degree of disorder in β phase was of the order of 10^<-4>, and the stability of this phase was rather high. The entropies of both α and β phases were almost consistent with those predicted from the statistical theory. The enthalpies had the marked maximum at the stoichiometric composition of AgMg. Despite a narrow range of α solid solution, the presence of Ag_3Mg supperlattice was confirmed from the measurements of e. m. f. and specific heat.
