On the Electric Conductivity of B_2O_3-Na_2O and B_2O_3-K_2O Systems in Fused Glassy State

Though the equation σ=σ_0e-E/RT can be applied to relation between electric conductivity and reciprocal of absolute temperature in considerably pure fused boric oxide, addition of alkali oxide causes deviation from it. In binary system, electric conductivity takes the maximum value at about 20% Na_2O in B_2O_3-Na_2O system and about 15% K_2O B_2O_3-K_2O system.
