1. Continued from the previous report "the flowering order of the peanut Plant", experiments were carried out to investigate the fructification in the peanut plnant as related to the position on the plant, using variety Chiba-43. 2. Total weight of seeds in the pulse were found heavier at the nodes nearer to the base of the plant and became lighter in accordance to the height of the position ; the relation of seed weights to the order of nodes might be represented by a mono-modal curve which shows a little difference according to varieties and environments. 3. The increasing rate of the total weight of the seeds fruited on every node generally became smaller in accordance to the height of the position from the base to the end. And the increasing rate of the average weight of the seeds, in the beginning, also generally became smaller in accordance to the height, but, at a later, the rate became larger in accordance to the height. In the case of the early varieties, the difference between the base and the end of the branch is far less than that of the late varieties. 4. The grain of the first flower in a cluster became heavier than those of the second or third flower, though they bloomed on the same day. Trans location of nutrients into seed grains seems to be faster exceedingly at the 1^<st> flower than the other.
