This writing is based on the on-and research from the year of 1988-1990 and the aim of it is the description of the present condition of Chinese farm villages after the abolishment of the People's Commune (人民公社), from three aspect-the agricultural manegement, the agricultural economy and the life of the farm houses. The Chinese farm villages are now in the vortex of changes, and because TangJiaZhai (唐家宅) 35), where we condicted this survey is located in the suburbs of Shanghai (上海), it can be no exception for a change. This village will continue to change from now on, but I can't predict the changes at this point. I would like to take the changes of Chinese farm villages not only as something that are passively changing following the political and economical changes in Chinese society, but rather, consider the changes from the independent change-aspect in those farm villages. In that sense, this writing could be the very fundamental work to predict the way that the changes of Chinese farm villages are taking.
