The fossil plants treated with in this paper were obtained from Kamakuradate, Kamikanazawa and belong to the Middle Miocene Kanazawa beds which occupy the lower part of the Asakawa formation. Plant beds corresponding to the Kanazawa beds are located in Kamikanazawa, Nagaoka, Shionodaira, Okusa-iri and Shimogo. The fossil plants from the Asakawa beds occupy the upper part of the Asakawa formation. The specimens studied are all from the Kanazawa beds of along the south side of the stream of Oshikawa, and these include one genus of Equisetales, two species in two genera of Coniferae, 15 species and five unknown species in 18 genera of Dicotyledoneae, one genus of Monocotyledoneae. The characteristic features of this flora, are that it is composed of five exotic genera, nine genera common to the Aniai flora and eight genera common to the Daijima flora.
