Permian brachiopods from the Yamamba Limestone formerly discriminated and discussed by Nonaka (1946) are reexamined, and 16 species among 10 genera, Edriosteges, Spinomarginifera, Enteletes, Orthotichia, Cyrolexis, Meekella, Martinia, Phricodothyris, Callispirina, and Spiriferellina, are described and discussed. Of them Cyrolexis nonakai is the newly established species. The brachiopod fauna appears to be closely related with the Permian brachiopod faunae of various regions in the Tethyan province. The age of the Yamamba brachiopods is considered to be Older Guadalupian, and this conclusion is about in harmony with that of Nonaka.
