Creation of γ-phase depending on heat-treatments was studied in Cu-Zn-Al alloys with e/a≒1.43. An isothermal aging at 320℃ was carried out with specimens heat-treated by following three patterns; (a): quenching from 800℃ to room temperature, (b): annealing from 800℃ to 320℃ in 8 days, and (c): cooling from 800℃ to 320℃ gradually. The creation processes of y -phase were investigated by an electrical resistivity and a texture evaluation. A composition of γ-phase obtained by an analytical electron microscope is independent of both the composition of specimen and the heat-treatments. The γ-phase particles were mainly created within β_1-phase region in the isothermal aging. In the creation of γ-phase, Al concentration of β_1-phase decreased, and the Zn concentration increased. It is considered that the creations of γ-phase are caused by a difference between the stability of Zn and that of Al in the β_1-phase.
