In this paper, the validity of the small group approach for the adolescent clients who have refused to go to school is discussed. Group was carried out over about three years and four months, continuously. The members were clients which the group leader was separately related as counselor. Progress of the group was divided into 4terms and described focusing on the motion of members in each term. The six participating members returned to school. As a result, the following things were shown. 1.) It is that group leader must grasp the uneasiness to a member's group participation. 2.) It is that group leader needs to take counselor's role in order to guarantee the mental safe feeling. 3.) "Experience about which it speaks" serves member as an opportunity to check "oneself-likeness". 4.) Group leads member to assistance experience to the others.
